ACARA Solutions and our client in Scottsdale, AZ have a DIRECT HIRE position available Qualifications, skills, and all relevant experience needed for this role can be found in the full description below.Chief Engineer-Space Ground Systems$209,000-$230,000 per year plus full benefits package starting day one and a relocation package.Minimum 15 years of Chief Engineer level with Space Ground Systems experience for our MUOS programThe MUOS User Objective System (MUOS) is a US Space ForceAs Chief Engineer for MUOS, you'll leverage your extensive technical expertise to propel our MUOS Sustainment and R&D initiatives forward.Your responsibilities will span from crafting technical strategies and driving product innovations to spearheading technical responses to proposals and nurturing client relationships and the next generation of engineers.In this role, you'll oversee intricate technology development and steer design processes, recommending advancements to replace end-of-life hardware.Collaborate closely with Business Development to shape strategy and maintain regular engagement with Government sponsors, industry partners, and technical personnel.Deliver technical responses to government and commercial proposals.Foster collaboration among the company's Chief Engineers across business lines on common technical issues and strategic initiatives.Develop comprehensive technical strategies, roadmaps, and product development plans.Lead in-depth studies to advance MUOS to a 5G network architecture and upgraded ground system.Provide technical leadership in designing, analyzing, implementing, testing, and sustaining capabilities in this adapted 3G WCDMA cellular system for the military and associated ground system.Deliver quick and thorough resolution of non-conformances and other challenges that might arise, including leading failure investigations and presentation of findings to internal and customer review boards.Mentor and guide engineering team members to foster their professional growth.With a focus on satellite-to-ground communications and 3GPP cellular core network design, this role epitomizes engineering excellence that sets global standards.
