Jr. DevOps EngineerColumbus, OH6 Month Contract-to-Hire$28/hr ($60,000+ salary)All candidates should make sure to read the following job description and information carefully before applying.As the Junior DevOps Engineer you will work as part of the larger team to help in the build, deployment and administration support within end-user computing department, while helping to ensure consistency with company strategy and goals. This role is an entry/junior level position that requires the individual to have the aptitude to learn and to participate in the overall development, automation, and maintenance of the EUC-AIS team's packaging and deployment effort. To be successful the candidate must be driven and well-organized, with strong learning abilities. It is essential for the individual to be self-motivated and tenacious, thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and complete tasks on agreed schedules. The team will look to this individual to assist in production releases, perform research and to provide assistance in the resolution of production incident tickets and the completion of package, deploy and automation activities.Qualifications: Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalentStrong technical skills and a good understanding of software development principles and project lifecyclesUnderstanding of PowerShell, Visual Basic, C, C++, .NET, and/or other structured programming languagesUnderstanding of scripting skillsStrong business and technology aptitude with a willingness to learn and understand business and software solutionsExcellent verbal and written communications; ability to explain project risks and issues, and IT related concepts clearly and conciselyHigh motivated with strong organizational, analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skillsAbility to build strong partnerships and to work collaboratively with all IT areas.Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentResponsibilities:Aid in the End-User Compute Automation Infrastructure Services (EUC-AIS) team to support end-user Windows PC management with Microsoft System Center Suite of applicationsDevelop and maintain automation procedures to assist with end-user systems both back-office, retail and ATMs.Aid in the EUC-AIS team from application packaging and deployment for windows 10 environmentActively communicate with users and team to provide technical supportWhy Should You Apply?!Be mentored by senior leadership!Participate in technical training and professional development!Awesome campus with onsite cafeteria, gym, and Starbucks!
