You will be required to evaluate existing systems to optimize alignment with business operations, ensuring enhanced efficiency. Responsibilities include managing equipment and program installation, integration, and maintenance, providing ongoing tech support, and contributing to the development of an infrastructure plan to accommodate future organizational needs. This role is integral to the strategic direction of the organization, managing multiple technical teams across various locations and ensuring the effective management and maintenance of service management functions and associated operational processes to meet defined service levels. A focus on system availability, reliability, and maintainability is crucial for success.Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities: • Implementation of strategic infrastructure and applications operating plans against roadmap and architectural standards. • Process ownership of designated engineering processes. • Championing adherence to appropriate process and software development standards. • Delivering against company technology and business strategies. • Managing multi-site/multi-vendor hardware and software implementation and support. • Leading large projects or working on projects independently. • Establishing the direction for creating the engineering life cycle of all infrastructures. • Building, developing, and leading an effective organization aligned with technology services and strategy objectives. • Providing proactive problem management to reduce incident volume across the technology organization. • Leading the review, definition, and implementation of operating procedures and operability on new and existing systems. • Providing technical insight and resolution actions for incidents across various hardware and software. • Collaborating across teams to drive down incident rates and improve service recovery times. • Ensuring operability delivery while maintaining or improving existing service levels. • Configuring and troubleshooting network connectivity to business applications. • Producing detailed implementation instructions and executing changes as required. • Developing and updating network infrastructure documentation. • Providing technical expertise relating to firewalls. •Collaborating with problem management to deliver high service levels through root cause analysis and problem resolution.Required Skills: • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders. • Ability to articulate complex problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. • Extensive knowledge of system/software engineering processes and standards. • Ability to develop technical strategies related to Distributed Systems technologies. • Familiarity with network engagement tools and systems such as HP-NA, Sevone, and Netflow. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.A great opportunity to join a fast paced business and be an integral part of their move to the Cloud whilst managing a mid sized global team.
