The Role:Increase your chances of an interview by reading the following overview of this role before making an application.The Project Engineer position is pivotal within our organization, encompassing a hands-on technical engineering role aimed at initiating and executing projects that drive continuous improvements and cost savings throughout the company. The primary focus of the Project Engineer will revolve around several key functional areas including Scope of Work Development, Project Design, Project Management, Capital Budgeting, Preventive Maintenance, and Safety.As a Project Engineer, you will be required to demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, organizational skills, and effective communication abilities to engage with personnel at all levels within the organization. Additionally, a willingness to spend time on the factory floor of our refractory manufacturing facilities is essential. We seek a self-motivated individual who is dedicated to enhancing processes across the organization. In this role, you will:Lead the project development process for new initiatives.Collaborate with operations to define project scopes.Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure accurate cost estimations.Develop justifications for projects including ROI, NPV, and impact on OEV.Assume complete ownership of projects post-approval, encompassing aspects such as Project Design, Project Schedule, Equipment and Contractor Selection, Project Budgeting, and collaboration with the Director of Engineering and Finance to manage capital spending budgets and forecasts.Analyze metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities and improvement projects within Preventive Maintenance systems.Provide support for Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance initiatives.Drive continuous improvements throughout the organization.We require you to have:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.5+ years of engineering experience in industrial and manufacturing environments.Experience with electrical systems ranging from 5 volts to at least 480 volts of three phase power.Experience with facility Electrical Infrastructure upgrades, and/or modification.Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering documentation such as single lines, P&IDs, and GAs.Familiarity with the latest OSHA/MSHA safety requirements.Previous project management experience.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.The ability to communicate technical topics effectively to individuals without technical backgrounds.Eagerness to engage in hands-on activities within a manufacturing environment.Flexibility to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Willingness to work in factory environments characterized by dirt and dust.It's helpful if you also have:Experience with hydraulics and controls.Previous experience in refractory manufacturing, hydraulic pressing, crushing, and grinding.Capital estimating experience.Travel:In this role, you can expect to travel up to 50%.About Resco:With a legacy spanning over 50 years, Resco Products has evolved into a powerhouse with 11 facilities across North America and the UK.
