We are unique in that we provide an in-house project costing program, project scheduling, along with project management. We believe putting our client needs, and providing the best solution for our customer above all else.This role will work directly with our sales, service team, and project management.Responsibilities of the Process Piping Estimator:Analyze project specifications, drawings, and blueprints to prepare accurate cost estimates for piping systems.Review and interpret engineered drawings, isometrics, and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) to understand project requirements.Utilize estimating software and tools to quantify materials, labor, and equipment necessary for piping installations.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to gather necessary information and ensure estimate accuracy.Conduct material take-offs and sourcing to determine cost-effective solutions while meeting project specifications.Calculate labor hours, equipment rental, and subcontractor costs to develop comprehensive project bids.Prepare detailed estimates, proposals, and bid packages in a timely manner, adhering to project deadlines.Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project budgets and maximize profitability.Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and market fluctuations to provide competitive estimates.Communicate effectively with internal teams and client to address inquiries and clarify project requirements.Document and maintain records of estimates, assumptions, and project correspondence for future reference.Continued contact with active projects and estimating necessary change orders as requested from service group, PM group, or customer.Commitment to Client Service for the Process Piping Estimator:Take a positive approach to working with both customers and co-works.Always maintain a professional standard that reflects positively on the company.Display a passion for providing quality work and an exceptional client experience. Actively encourage others to do the same.Consistently display a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and responsiveness.Exhibit a high degree of self-motivation and commitment to personal growth.Qualifications & Requirements of the Process Piping Estimator:Strong mechanical background with expertise in piping systems and installations.Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineered drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.Experience in estimating software such as Bluebeam, QuoteSoft, or similar tools.Excellent mathematical and analytical skills for accurate quantity take-offs and cost calculations.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating materials, labor, and project costs.Knowledge of field installation practices and construction methods is a definite plus.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal team and client.Problem-solving skills to identify potential project challenges and propose viable solutions.Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations governing piping installations.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.Prior experience in piping estimation or related field is highly desirable.Deutsche is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EOE/M/F/Vets/Disabled) employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
