This position involves building machine assemblies according to specifications and ensuring the quality and safety of the final products. Focus: Interpret assembly blueprints, manuals, and specifications for accurate machine component assembly. Plan and execute machine building operations according to assembly requirements. Align and fit components manually or with hoists, screws, bolts, and welding techniques utilizing a variety of hand and power tools with precision measurement instruments. Verify conformance of parts to stock lists and blueprints using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers. Demonstrate proficiency in setup and operation of Bridgeport, Lathe, and surface grinder machinery. Safely operate forklifts and cranes as needed for assembly and movement of components. Conduct quality checks and tests on assembled machines to ensure functionality and adherence to customer specifications. Assist with shipping and receiving activities, preparing equipment for shipment as needed. Skill Set: High school diploma, technical certification, or equivalent education required. Minimum of 10 years of experience in machine building or a related technical field. Certified and experienced in operating forklifts. Detail-oriented individual with the ability to focus and concentrate to ensure safety and quality of work. Compliance with company policies and procedures, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint) and Outlook. Motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication skills, both verbal and written Willingness to work overtime to meet project deadlines.
