Reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance, the Quality Assurance Technician plays a valuable role in our organization by inspecting and evaluating Frankford's daily operations including: processing, production and packaging. Additional responsibilities include rating productions lines for overall quality, weight control and adherence to GMP's. The goal of this position is to ensure all Frankford products meet specifications and to uphold our high-quality standards.2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 2:00PM to 10:30PMRESPONSIBILITIESAdministrative:Aid in developing line specifications for new itemsComplete daily inspection reportsLine / Plant Inspections:Assure products meet standards set forth by BOM and specifications establishedRate each line for Quality, GMP's and SafetyMicrobiological and Lab Testing:Test and record viscosity, extraneous, fineness, color, etc.Collect sterile samples of ingredients/ production samplesMaintain a sanitary work environmentFill out appropriate paperwork for QA testingPrepare for micro samples for testing of Salmonella, Coli forms, APC, Yeast & MoldRecord Keeping:Record daily production scores and items producedRecord all metal and screen findingsProduct Development:Prepare samples for sales and PD department as requestedGive input on design, weight, decorationsInterpersonal Interactions:Advise supervisors and line personnel on quality issuesAdvise PD Managers of quality issues in regard to packagingEXPERIENCE / EDUCATIONDegree in Food Science or 5-year-minimum in Food/Beverage IndustryKnowledgeable in Food SafetyQUALIFICATIONS: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power PointAble to multi-task with limited supervisionExcellent organizational skills Willingness to learnTeam-player who can also work independently
