Job Responsibilities:Monitor and manage fiber optic wavelengths using Cisco Transport Controller (CTC) to ensure optimal performance and alignment between A-side and Z-side.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fiber optic waves, including monitoring signal levels and directionality through CTC.Collaborate with commercial optical personnel to provision and maintain fiber optic networks for commercial and wholesale customers.Apply (by clicking the relevant button) after checking through all the related job information below.Business Unit Focus: This position supports the Backbone, Optical, and CBO (Commercial Business Operations) team.Example Projects: The incumbent will be responsible for provisioning fiber wavelengths for commercial and wholesale customers. For instance, they will handle projects like the current order for 18000 waves. Engineers will utilize Cisco CTC to configure, monitor, and manage optical transport platforms.MUST HAVE Skillsets:Experience with Cisco Transport Controller (CTC) for troubleshooting Fiber Optic Waves, ensuring alignment with A-side and Z-side.Proficiency in troubleshooting Alien Waves, collaborating with commercial optical personnel, and resolving related issues.Expertise in optical troubleshooting, including identifying and resolving issues related to wave loading times.Ability to log into CTC to retrieve levels and direction data for fiber optic waves, and interpret discrepancies for corrective action.Experience in troubleshooting fiber circuits and Alien waves end-to-end, ensuring proper transmission levels and alignment between Z-side and A-side.
