You will play a part in creating the future of world-class packaging. You will be primarily responsible for engineering and development of new packaging solutions related to packaging including, cups, lids, coffee, and food packaging. As a Senior Packaging Engineer, you will...Create detailed specifications for Starbucks packagingUse engineering principles to lead the development of packaging projects through proof of concept, functional development, qualification, and commercialization phases.Problem solve, build, test, and learnCo-create and work alongside cross functional peers including Project Managers, Sourcing, Product, Quality, and NPI to ensure solutions and projects meet business needsWork with packaging suppliers on development of concepts and demonstrate compliance with performance requirementsCreate evaluation plans and work with engineering technicians and third-party laboratories to complete and document evaluationClearly and thoroughly document test results and findings and complete stage gate reviews as requiredWe'd love to hear from people with:BS or higher degree in an engineering field - Packaging, Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering3+ years' experience in a technical role, preferably with product development or packaging experienceA strong bias for action, testing, and learning who operates well in a fast-paced environment.An abundance of curiosity to learn from our store partners, customers, and internal stakeholders.Experience developing test procedures.Outstanding ability to communicate ideas and concepts in multiple ways - such as visually, physically, verbally, or in writing to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersA sound understanding of statistics, test methodologies, and the ability to use computer-aided design systems a plusCompensation:The compensation range for this position is $35.00/hr. - $45.00/hr. (approx. $66,640 - $90,000 annualized).
