This role will immerse you in a visionary quest through the stock market, employing unconventional methodologies that merge differential geometry with Bayesian statistics for unparalleled predictive accuracy. Leveraging the former for a robust framework for search and measurement and the latter for inferential prediction and learning, you will see how we apply these tools to deconstruct the classical framework of machine learning, rebuilding them from fundamental principles. This is a rare opportunity to join as a founding member of a startup set to make waves in the world of quantitative trading.An ideal candidate should have two to three years of experience at a buy side firm and be near the tail end of their non-compete. In addition, the candidate should be highly adept at mathematical reasoning while still being able to function as an exceptional software engineer. A crucial aspect of this role involves the ability to clearly reason about undefined problems and then rapidly implement solutions once said problems are well-defined.Who You AreYou have 2 to 3 years of experience at a buy side firm in a quantitative role beyond software engineering.You exhibit a deep level of mathematical maturity and are confident in your ability to navigate complex problems without a predefined solution.You are an exceptional programmer who can effortlessly translate mathematical intuition into computational algorithms.You're driven by ambition and want to make an outsized impact as a partner and future executive in a start-up environment.You're intellectually curious, open to seeing mathematics from a different perspective, and prepared to tackle the most challenging problem of your life.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate directly with executive team on the most critical issues of the trading algorithm, making a direct impact on the development and refinement of our key strategies.Translate complex visual and mathematical concepts into programmatic solutions, creating independent, functional components of our trading algorithm.Assist the chief executive with specific geometric programming tasks, vital to the development of our overarching model.Oversee and mentor a dedicated team of interns whose primary responsibility will be to support you and the executive team in the implementation of specific functional components of the trading system.Maintain and manage exchange and data connectivity, ensuring seamless integration with our in-house system developed natively in Python.Scale our existing systems and play a pivotal role in bringing our groundbreaking trading algorithm to market, as we stand on the brink of launch.CompensationWe offer a competitive compensation package that matches your last year's base salary plus bonus amortized as cash, augmented by a significant equity stake.
