The Cost Engineer manages the cost control function. This involves monitoring the overall control of project activities & project forecasting. This position is based in Washington, DC.Below, you will find a complete breakdown of everything required of potential candidates, as well as how to apply Good luck.Responsibilities:Including but not limited to:Gathering of daily production data from the job site.Provide monthly reporting to Project Manager and Construction Manager/General Superintendent.Assist Project Manager in financial decision making by providing analysis on the performance trends.Monitor projects during execution by analyzing the achieved results and comparing them with budget which could lead to pinpointing major variances as applicable.Prepare budget and forecast for the assigned projects in cooperation with the Project Manager.Responsible for change order management with Owner and subcontractors.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, accounting, or related discipline.3-7 years of related engineering experience, and/or project cost control experience.
