Title: Quality Lab Associate IDo you have the following skills, experience and drive to succeed in this role Find out below.Contract: 6 MonthsLocation: Marion, NCMax PR: $25.68/hrPosition SummaryConduct sampling and qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis on raw materials, solutions, and components following approved Standard Operating Procedures and test methods in an accurate and timely manner.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform aseptic microbiological and chemical sampling in cleanroom and facility environmentsObtain samples from manufacturing environment, ensuring sample integrity and identityAnalyze organic or inorganic compounds to determine chemical or physical properties using chromatography, spectroscopy, or spectrophotometry techniques.Enter data into Laboratory Management system (LIMs)Prepare test solutions, compounds, standards or reagents for laboratory personnel to conduct tests.Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)Follow laboratory safety procedures to ensure compliance with standards or to make improvements as needed.Follow manufacturing area safety procedures to ensure compliance with standards during sampling processMonitor operational procedures in technical environments to ensure conformance to standards.Operate lab equipment such as pipets, burets, balances, hot plates, etc.Review samples received, logs samples, and enter data into computer database (LIMS)Responsible for general housekeeping of laboratory and test suitesSustain a clean and safe work environment utilizing 6S principlesKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesTrained in aseptic sampling techniquesComputer literate/knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel)Attention to detail and strong organizational skillsMust have a basic understanding of laboratory instrumentationGood documentation skills and knowledge of GDPs (Good Documentation Practices)Able to manage multiple tasks/priorities in a timely mannerFamiliarity with LIMS (or equivalent system) and TrackWiseMust be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and peersMust be have basic knowledge of general chemistry techniquesRequired Education and ExperienceAssociates degree in biological or chemical sciences or professional certification preferred.0-2 years of experience in the field or related area.Other Duties as AssignedThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
