Gipe Associates, Inc., a Maryland-based Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Firm, is looking to hire for the following position:For a complete understanding of this opportunity, and what will be required to be a successful applicant, read on.Assistant Project Manager / Mechanical Engineer for Building SystemsThe ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering degree with 5+ years' experience working for a consulting engineering firm, proficient in the design of building systems for commercial, institutional, and/or educational buildings and possess the desire and aptitude to move into a project management position. Duties & Expectations include: • Ability to work and coordinate with others• Excellent Communication Skills• Willingness to develop engineering expertise, under the guidance of our senior engineers• Coordinate with clients and consultants.• Maintain schedules• Proficient use of REVIT and AutoCAD• Develop/Review Prepare Cost Estimates• Perform Life Cycle Cost Analysis• Perform Calculations• Develop thoroughly coordinated specifications and construction drawings• Attend and Document Progress Meetings• Review Submittals/Shop Drawings• Answer RFIs
