Our client is seeking an experienced Network Design Engineer for an exciting long-term contract opportunity in Phoenix, AZ. This person must sit in market or be able to relocate or be in market as needed at their own expense. This person must also possess OSP (Outside Plant) and fiber deployment project experience.All candidates should make sure to read the following job description and information carefully before applying.Job Description:Planning, design, and analysis of a Fiber to the Home Network understanding the components and methods of construction to build and deliver service. Performs detailed review of high level designs, and low level design of feeder and distribution fiber cables to ensure the most efficient method utilized. In depth knowledge of common CAD based GIS design tools utilized in the Broadband Fiber to the home industry. Top Skills:- OSP Design/OSP Construction- CAD/GIS system experience- ExcelOversees contractors who detail design for feeder and distribution facilities to meet major fiber build projects. Conducts job costing activities. Requires understanding of outside plant build, installation, and maintenance. Monitors expenditures to ensure incurred costs are within authorized levels. Investigates and supplements cost overruns. May be responsible for the coordination of construction budget and project management activities. May be responsible for right of way functions. Evaluates multiple factors to develop creative practical solutions. Guided by project and work deadlines; sets own priorities. Uses discretion to complete assignments. Comfortable utilizing CAD/GIS design tools.Pay Range: $45 - $50/HR depending on experience. The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
