Educates and trains Austin Commercial project staff in federal, state, and local laws, ensuring compliance with the company's current safety manual, policies and expectations.Responsibilities:Builds working relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety representativesCreates accurate safety reports and accident investigation documentsProvides and participates in staff safety training and subcontractor development; possesses strong presentation skillsRepresents company in a positive and professional manner with owner and subcontractorsCreates and facilitates safety training on a variety of subjects that align with particular project schedulesBuilds and maintains relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, architects, etc.)Participates in safety organizations outside of the company and in assigned regionEnsures compliance with the company's current safety manual, policies and expectations.Requirements:7+ years of building construction safety experience with at least 3 years of field experienceA 4 year degree in a safety-related disciplineAuthorized OSHA 500 TrainerOSHA 10 and 30 CertifiedAt least 4 hours of training in the following topics:Fall ProtectionScaffoldingExcavationConfined SpaceCrane/Equipment OperationsElectricalIncident InvestigationCurrent on CPR and First Aid and AED certificationsSWPP knowledgeAdvanced knowledge of construction processes and proceduresProficient in relevant softwareOutstanding communication and negotiation abilities; has the ability to have effective crucial conversationsManages time and resource allocation appropriatelyBenefits & Compensation We offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, and a matching 401K plan.
