This role involves analyzing product design, manufacturing processes, and customer feedback to identify potential failure modes and improve product quality and reliability.Essential Job Responsibilities:Failure Analysis and Improvement Measures: Conduct detailed analyses of failure phenomena in laundry products across various markets, identifying root causes and developing improvement strategies to enhance product reliability and performance.Quality Assurance Processes: Implement and manage quality assurance processes, including testing methodologies, quality standards, and product inspections to ensure compliance with internal and external quality requirements.Market and Customer Feedback Analysis: Analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify areas for quality and reliability improvements. Work closely with the product development team to incorporate customer insights into product design and features.Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and customer service teams to ensure quality and reliability are integrated throughout the product lifecycle, from design to after-sales support.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure products meet all relevant local and international regulations and standards, including safety and environmental regulations.Vendor and Supply Chain Quality: Work with suppliers and the supply chain team to establish quality requirements for components and materials. Conduct supplier audits and reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality tests, analyses, and improvement measures. Prepare reports on product quality and reliability for senior management.Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in product design, manufacturing processes, and quality assurance practices to enhance overall product quality and customer satisfaction.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality or reliability engineering role, preferably with experience in home appliances or laundry products.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify trends.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), RCA (Root Cause Analysis), and Lean Manufacturing.Knowledge of international quality standards and regulations relevant to laundry appliances.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.Midea America Corp. is an equal opportunity employer.
