Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Resident Engineer with a strong background in electrical engineering and systems management for a large-scale construction with Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson Airport planning and development team under the department of aviation. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects by overseeing electrical and systems aspects, ensuring they are contractually sound, executed flawlessly, on time, and within budget.Please read the following job description thoroughly to ensure you are the right fit for this role before applying.Educational Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.Advanced degrees or certifications in project management, construction management, or related fields are highly desirable.Certification/Training:Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred, with a focus on electrical or systems engineering.Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or equivalent experience.Safety Training (minimum OSHA 10 Hour), with additional certifications in electrical safety highly valued.Experience:Minimum of 10 years' experience in the administration of construction contracts, specifically with a focus on electrical and systems engineering aspects.Demonstrated experience in overseeing large-scale construction projects with significant electrical and systems components.Proven track record of managing, directing, and supervising construction management (CM) field staff, with an emphasis on electrical and systems disciplines.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and coordinate the electrical and systems engineering efforts of contractors, ensuring all aspects of construction are executed according to plan.Evaluate the progress and quality of electrical and systems construction activities, ensuring conformance with approved schedules, budgets, and technical specifications.Lead the review and approval of electrical and systems designs, ensuring constructability and integration with overall project plans.Spearhead the Quality Assurance Program for electrical and systems aspects of each assigned contract, in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Manager.Facilitate weekly construction meetings focusing on electrical and systems progress, challenges, and solutions.Manage and resolve complex electrical and systems engineering issues, ensuring minimal impact on project schedule and cost.Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations related to electrical and systems work, promoting a culture of safety among the team and subcontractors.Reporting Structure:Reports administratively to the Area Construction Manager or Senior Resident Engineer.Supervises a team of Assistant Resident Engineers, Project/Office Engineers, Document Control Clerks, and Field Inspectors with a focus on electrical and systems disciplines.Ideal Candidate Profile:A strategic thinker with in-depth knowledge of electrical and systems engineering principles applicable to large construction projects.A leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating teams and managing stakeholders effectively.Highly organized, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.Join Us:Become a key player in transforming landscapes and communities through excellence in electrical and systems engineering.
