QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in science or related field is required, food science degree is preferred.Three years Quality experience in food manufacturing is required.Seafood experience is desired, but not required.The experience expected from applicants, as well as additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below.POSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Global Food Safety Quality Assurance Director, the person in this position, after appropriate training, will help manage the FSQA Program designed to ensure continuous production consistent with established Regulatory, Customer and Phillips standards. This will include monitoring the quality control of products that are produced in our manufacturing facilities. This position will require regular food safety/quality checks and system verifications. Both proactive and reactive interactions with food regulatory agencies will fall under the responsibility of this position.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESShort TermBecome informed and educated on all Phillips thermal processes, laboratory function (both in-house and second party), value-added methodology, and audit scope requirements.Learn to develop, revise, and oversee HACCP Program, Food Defense, Allergen, SSOP, GMP, etc.Develop expertise in seafood sensory abilities.Develop regulatory relationships with FDA and Academia.Work with purchaser and R&D to obtain ingredient information related to supplying Phillips ingredient quality standards regulations and import/export.Long TermOversee the development and analysis of statistical data, raw and finished product data, and parameters for the creation and maintenance of all Product Specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy.
