Job title: CNC Programmer/CNC EngineerLocation: Bloomfield, CTDuration: 12+ months (Possibility of extension)Pay rate: 45-50/hr on w2 depending on the experienceDescription:ON-SITE POSITIONSummary: Research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes. Have the ability to make engineering drawings and read and interpret blueprints. Root Cause & Corrective Action Studies2.) CAD3.) G-Code programming for CNC machines is a requirementPreferred Experience:Fanuc - experience preferred.Okuma- experience preferredEducation/Experience:Bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering required or equivalent experience8-10 year's experience required Responsibility levelExercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisorSkills:Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability (Required)Team player and detail oriented (Required)Displays attributes of a critical thinker and leverages innovative ideas (Required)Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback (Required)Advanced ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations (Typically required)Advanced ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports (Typically required)Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) (Typically required)Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:Study time, motion, methods, and speed involved in maintenance, production, and other operations to establish standard production rate and improve efficiencyReview worker logs, product processing sheets, and specification sheets, to verify that records adhere to quality assurance specificationsReview and approve work assignments in accordance with worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delaysReview charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilizationEvaluate data and reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standardsRecommend modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capabilityRecommend revision to methods of operation, material handling, equipment layout, or other changes to increase production or improve standards
