We integrate - AC Drives & Motors, Coordinated Drive Systems, DC Drives & Motors, HMI & PLC, Instrumentation, Lighting & Traffic, Pump & Compressor Solutions, Robotics, SCADA.About the JobThe Electrical Engineer will assemble, test, troubleshoot and modify electrical equipment and systems under the supervision of the electrical manager with the goal of developing and maintaining advanced applied electrical engineering methods. The Electrical Engineer will be involved in maintaining existing equipment and the development of new equipment and processes, when necessary.Job ResponsibilitiesAssembles, tests, and troubleshoots motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, hydraulic, pneumatic and other electrical equipment and systems.Modifies electrical systems to correct functional deviations.Knowledge of and ability to program and troubleshoot PLCs.Diagnoses cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenance.Develops wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications for system or equipment modifications or expansion and directs personnel performing routine installation and maintenance duties.Plans, directs, and records periodic electrical testing, and recommends or initiates modification or replacement of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards.Oversees new production installations and projects.Identifies potential areas of product and process improvement; recommends and assists with development of appropriate solutions.Involved in the development of new methods to improve product quality and automation.Performs other related duties as assigned.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.2 to 5 years of experience with AC and DC motor drive systems.Knowledge of power distribution systems, 480V to 25Kv.Understanding of NFPA 70E and OSHA requirements.Process control and automation experience.Fluent in AutoCad. 2 to 5 years of experience with AutoCad required.Experience in PLCs, HMI, SCADA and networking.Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.Must be able to travel within western PA and surrounding area to perform field work and service customers. Local travel within the Greater Pittsburgh metro area will be frequent.Ability to work 50+ hours per week, when necessary. Must be able to be on-call and work weekends, when necessary.Preferred ExperienceHydraulics systems experience desired.
