This involves overseeing mechanical, pneumatic, and process aspects.Essential Functions:Assist in proposal development and review for assigned application areas.Participate in internal and customer project kick-off meetings, offering technical expertise.Review project budgets and provide forecast updates as needed.Maintain project schedules and communicate regularly with project managers to ensure accuracy.Review customer specifications to plan and meet project requirements.Develop and manage a detailed project technical plan and engineering task list.Create written specifications outlining system functionality.Coordinate mechanical engineering tasks, including equipment arrangement, robot reach, payload analysis, cycle-time, and tolerance studies.Conduct Robot Safety Risk Assessments and review findings with the project team.Utilize 3D simulation to validate engineering requirements.Identify workcell equipment requiring mechanical design and build, and coordinate internal and external resources accordingly.Schedule and lead design review meetings, tracking related open issues.Establish runoff criteria and coordinate equipment buyoff with external suppliers.Manage documentation delivery and approval processes with customers.Generate Work Change Request documents as necessary.Ensure required documentation is available for manufacturing integration builds.Review and approve redline changes on the manufacturing floor.Produce runoff documentation per project and customer requirements, including preventative maintenance and spare parts lists.Skills/Knowledge:Proficient in mechanical system knowledge and technical problem-solving.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Familiarity with ISO-9000, QS-9000, & TE Supplement quality systems preferred.Knowledge of Reliability & Maintainability techniques such as FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, MTTR, MTBF, Availability, OEE, etc. preferred.Experience with 3D simulation and discrete-event simulation methods.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Ability to present technical evaluations and recommendations effectively to customers and peers.Experience/Education:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.Strong technical expertise in system engineering, design, and integration of robotic automation systems.Proficiency in CAD software: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and ROBOGUIDE Simulation preferred
