Please apply to learn more!Ideal Candidate:5-10 years industry experience in automotive engineering (sheet metal tooling)Extensive experience in automotive product dimensional quality or metrology role.Proven track record with functional dimensional concepts and local alignments.Thorough knowledge and understanding of body shop manufacturing processes, tooling, and sheet metal parts.Shift: 1stSalary: Open (market rate/salary)About the client: A pinnacle in the luxury automotive industry, with a century of dedication to excellence, is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to enhance our body shop manufacturing team with a focus on sheet metal tooling processes.Position Summary: The Senior Process Engineer will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and refining sheet metal tooling and forming processes to ensure we maintain our world-class standard for automotive components and structural elements.Key Responsibilities:Analyze and optimize sheet metal parts production and tooling to improve quality and efficiency.Develop tooling concepts, ensuring part location and tooling designs are optimized for production.Oversee the body dimensional management, tolerance stack-ups, and the Functional Dimensional Concept to maintain high-quality standards.Drive the launch of new models in the body shop, coordinating with cross-functional teams for a seamless transition.Demonstrate leadership in project management and communication across different teams.Implement and maintain metrology systems and alignment protocols to uphold product quality.Provide guidance on CAD applications and company's proprietary systems (TREG, SAP, PPZ).Qualifications:BA/BS in Engineering or equivalent, with at least 5-10 years of quality manufacturing experience, specifically in the automotive industry.Extensive experience in automotive product dimensional quality or metrology role.Proven track record with functional dimensional concepts and local alignments.Thorough knowledge and understanding of body shop manufacturing processes, tooling, and sheet metal parts.Proficient in tooling concepts, part location and tooling design.Solid experience with body dimensional management and tolerance stack-up.Familiarity with Functional Dimensional Concept.Experience in leading new model launches in the body shop.Proven leadership and superior communication skills.Hands-on experience with body dimensional impact on complete vehicle.Proficient with Microsoft Office.Understanding of metrology systems and alignments.Experience with CAD applications.Knowledge of systems such as TREG, SAP, and PPZ is preferred.
