Job Description:

As a Roadway Project Engineer you will assist in technical design and coordinate tasks to bring transportation projects to their completion; Leading the preparation of plans, specifications, estimates, exhibits, reports and technical calculations; and coordination with internal team members, and sub-consultants. This role will sit in either Roseville or Sacramento Ca. We are moving to a Hybrid work week of two days in the office during the core hours of 10:00am to 3:00pm with the rest of the working hours and days from home.Considering applying for this job Do not delay, scroll down and make your application as soon as possible to avoid missing out.YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:  • Coordinating and supporting construction activities  • Verifying accuracy of project plans, cost estimates, quantities, reports and exhibits  • Applying knowledge of engineering procedures to applicable projects and assignments  • Participating at a committee level in professional organizations • Mentoring and managing an internal design team  • Conducting in-house technical training to staff to ensure compliance with drafting standards project requirements, and current engineering practicesEDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:• BS and/or MS in Civil/Transportation Engineering  • Licensed Civil Engineer in the State of California  • QSD/QSP certification and experience with drainage and hydraulics projects, preferred  • 5+ years as a Roadway Design Engineer with progressive experience in design, leading to project management responsibilities  • Specific experience and familiarity with Caltrans standards and requirements for the preparation roadway design, utility design, and traffic handing and stage construction plans  • Knowledge of he design and construction of Express Lanes  • Knowledge & proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Microstation and InRoads  • Strong verbal and written skills  • Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment
