Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Director of Facilities, the Maintenance Manager at Palm Beach Atlantic University located in West Palm Beach, FL will have the full authority over all Operations and Maintenance activities of the Maintenance department.The information below covers the role requirements, expected candidate experience, and accompanying qualifications.Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership, mentorship, supervision and training to assigned staffThe ability to use and coordinate the CMMS programPlan, coordinate, control, and direct operations and activities in the preventative, scheduled and adaptable maintenance of all college facilities, utility systems, and equipment, including tasks in carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, construction, plumbing, painting and other assigned dutiesInspect completed projects for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established requirements and specifications. Assure the related function align with all applicable laws, codes, ordinances, regulation, policies and proceduresAssist with the preparation and submission of various statistical and narrative reports, including the long-range facility plan, five-year capital plan, schedule maintenance program, facility specification and board projectsSupervise, evaluate, and coordinate the work of assigned personnelParticipate in the screening and interview process to hire new employees, recommend transfers, reassignment and disciplinary action when necessaryEstablish and maintain systems to train staff to meet performance and safety standardsDevelop and maintain annual departmental budgets. Maintain blueprints, specifications, and systems plans and drawingsManage the University BAS system Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experienceValidated experience in maintenance managementProficient in facilities management including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, BAS systems, CMMS SystemsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and schematicsStrong leadership skills with the ability to empower and develop a team
