A subject matter expertWorking safely, and ensuring all those working around them are working safelyWorking with Houston-based and local ITS teams to install, operate and maintain field communications systems. Unboxing, inventory, testing, and installing field communications hardware at sites in the work regionScheduling formal change requests to field communications systems for firmware updates, security changes, and other configuration changesWorking to join infrastructure to a cloud management platform, central management, and monitoring toolsDocumentation and knowledge transfer, such as maintaining and providing solution documentation to other team members, IT and business areas, detailing hardware installations, logically storing project files, and cross trainingProviding solutions to complex problems on the integration of various technologies including connectivity issues. Resolving operational, infrastructure or hardware incidents and request itemsWorking continuously on a task until completion or escalating to the next level support and prioritizing and managing many open cases at one timeCollaborating with IT, managers, and other stakeholders to develop an action plan for improved operationsPreparing written and verbal presentations and providing management with timely and accurate status reportsKeeping customer base informed of changes and issues within the data center environmentQualifications:9+ years of Oil Field experience5+ years of upstream oil and gas communications experienceStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with management, technical, and field personnelAble to model a strong work ethic and taking the lead on a variety of initiativesAbility to be flexible and willing to adapt to changing business requirementsBuilds positive relationships based on trust and seeks collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goalsListens actively and invites new ideas for exchanged opinions, then influences and acts to drive positive performance and achieve resultsThe Bergaila Way:The Bergaila Companies is a nationally recognized leader in providing staffing services to all sectors of the energy industry.
