Your responsibilities include providing technical leadership and support for process instrumentation across all installations. Additionally, you'll develop preventive and predictive maintenance plans for the site's instrumentation and analyzer infrastructure. As a subject matter expert, you will troubleshoot instrumentation and analyzer issues, assist plant I/E technicians, and participate in the DCS team, including cross-training for callout rotations. You will report to the I&E Supervisor and work on a team that includes Instrumentation and Electrical Technicians, DCS Specialists, Instrumentation and Controls Engineers and Electrical Engineers. You will work onsite; this is a safety sensitive position.You Will:Leadership:Lead by example and coach safety practices, supporting plant safety initiatives.and Development:Create training plans for I/E technician teams across all plant areas.Programs:Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs for instrumentation and analyzers using CMMS and process control network data.Analyze and repair failed controls and instrumentation, assisting I/E technicians.Strategies:Implement basic and advanced control strategies to troubleshoot plant control issues.Utilize DCS configuration tools and instrumentation knowledge to solve complex plant problems through communication with operations, plant engineers, and maintenance.Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering/technology (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Computer/Electronics Engineering preferred).Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience.Industry Expertise: 5+years of instrumentation/controls experience in a Refinery/Chemical environment.Technical Knowledge: Understanding of controls engineering fundamentals and control systems.Competencies: Skills in Industrial Instrumentation, including Industrial Analyzers, Distributed Control Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, and Safety Instrumented Systems.DCS/PLC Configuration: Experience in DCS/PLC configuration. Familiarity with Yokogawa DCS and/or Allen Bradley PLC is advantageous.
