Occasional travel may be required. Work location is flexible, depending on project activities, typically requiring at least 3-4 days per week in the lab.What You'll Do:Design, prototype, and test electronic subsystems and systems using the latest miniature, low-power sensing, processing, actuation, and wireless communication technologies.Troubleshoot and debug electrical circuits and systems, identifying root causes of problems and implementing corrective actions to ensure optimal performance.Research, evaluate, and select electronic components based on their functionality, quality, and cost-effectiveness, ensuring that they meet design criteria and project specifications.Develop and maintain PCB schematics and layouts, ensuring that they adhere to industry standards and are optimized for manufacturing.Develop embedded software using the C/C++ programming languages, integrating firmware with hardware components to create reliable and efficient systems.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and project managers, to ensure successful project execution.Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems, components, and software, ensuring that they meet performance requirements and comply with relevant standards.Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of designs, test results, and project progress, ensuring effective communication with team members and stakeholders.Your QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical EngineeringA minimum of 3 years of post-degree experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on circuit design, prototyping, and testingStrong knowledge of electronic components, PCB design, and layout tools, such as Altium, KiCad, Eagle, or similarFamiliarity with Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy; sensor interface circuits; power management; wireless battery charging, embedded systems and microsystemsProficient in embedded software development using C/C++ or related programming languages, with experience in real-time operating systems and microcontroller programmingExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systemsStrong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teamsHighly detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time-management skillsFamiliarity with medical device industry standards is a plus Experience in a startup work environment is a plus
