We are looking for abstract thinkers to join our team as we try and revolutionize the Energy sector.Position: Drilling Engineer SME (Preference is for candidates local to Houston TX or surrounding areas).  Position is 100% remote in US with monthly requirements for travel to client sites / trade shows / public relation events etc. Position may require working from company office as much as twice per week. Role is open to US Citizens / Permanent Residents only.Role:Drilling Engineer SME will be part of our SME team that works directly with our clients & will directly report to SME Lead. He or she will manage set of clients assigned by SME Lead and will be responsible for managing client relationship; will be the main point of contact for answering client's questions; handling client's escalations / resolving issues etc. Responsibilities: Proactively develop a solid, comprehensive understanding of client's business needs and priorities. Anticipate customer's needs to deliver new insights on their business strategy and educate customers on ways to address them jointly. Show long-term differentiated value for the customer, leveraging industry expertise and guides internal colleagues on ways to develop deeper customer knowledge. Deliver solutions into overall long-term business strategy.Elevate relationships through multiple levels of the customer's organization to secure alignment and execution. Expand strategic customer relationships to drive larger impact for the customer and spread into other areas of the organization.Use business cases to develop and present compelling value proposition presentations and specialized business plans for customers that showcase AKM Enterprises products and solutions to connect decision makers in the account to the broader usage of AKM SaaS platform. Also provide thought leadership to guide others on tailoring presentations and generate new opportunities.Demonstrate platform value-add functionality and features, providing drilling/well analysis and platform effectiveness workflows that get answers to user questions.Lead client interfaces and relationship building/nurturing.Present value on company products to end users via recommendations for drilling efficiency/optimization.QA/QC clients' active vs. historical well data to identify improvement areas/opportunities, including hazard avoidance.Proactively coordinate with Real Time Operations Center (RTOC) as Project Manager for respective clients to ensure all client needs are met.Build client relationships and conduct wellbeing status calls on a regular basis with client Drilling Engineers, Supervisors, Managers, Champions, and other stakeholders to understand their well performance objectives, workflows, and identify opportunities to highlight high value-add features of the platform.Facilitate initial onboarding and ongoing training of client users.Establish working relationship with customer management including VP's and provide regular updates how AKM is delivering value to DE's, Drilling Managers, and upper management.Develop proficiency of new applications AKM commercializes ie. ProINSIGHT.Monitor client activity to identify competitive threats and report to AKM management any potential threats.Assist in product development by coordinating with product team regarding client product enhancement requests or new applications.Perform regular product testing to ensure platform updates meet the client's needs before rollout to live production environments.Facilitate the process of installing WellView or OpenWells connector for automatically retrieving client well planning files.Identify areas of opportunity to upsell additional AKM applications.Requirements:10 plus years as a Drilling or Operations Engineer in E&P organization drilling wells in US onshore required. 3 plus years as a Completions Engineer in onshore unconventional basins planning and executing multi-well pad fracs required. 7 plus years of successfully managing client relationships required.7 plus years of proficiency with MS Word, MES Excel, MS Power Point.Strong knowledge of WITSML standard (ETP), mnemonics, data quality, and data error processing.Ability to construct and validate WITSML queries using desktop clients. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Petroleum Engineering degree required. MBA is a plus.Proficient with Windows Operating systems and WITSML viewers.Proficient with Energetics Transfer Protocol (ETP) Role & Schedule.Fundamental knowledge of Jira, MS Sharepoint, and Agile Principles.Ability to meet face-to-face with clients on a monthly basis.
