Job Description:

The Field Support Engineer is responsible for all support, planning, implementation and project management of patient monitoring applications/servers including H1K/2K, HL-7, patient monitoring remote access products and various communication gateway products. Additionally, will provide on-site and remote IT support for patient monitoring WLAN and other IT related duties of the highest level to support our patient monitoring business unit. Technical skills to include routing, switching, wireless and firewalls.Ready to apply Before you do, make sure to read all the details pertaining to this job in the description below.Essential Functions and Main DutiesAssumes responsibility for managing H1K/H2K, HL-7, patient monitoring remote access products and various communication gateway products.Responsible for overall IT/applications on-site product support providing oversight, training and technical direction to junior staffWork with Biomed and clinical on-site at hospital location during implementation.Perform software updates on CNS and IP changes.Pride clinical changes and tech support pre and post device changes.Conducts kick off calls with accounts implementing patient monitoring server products.Works with our internal teams to ensure successful coordination and delivery of products.Works with account to establish remote access capabilities for the NK teams.Completes all required documentation and assists with inventory management.Assumes responsibility for all ongoing patient monitoring server product support.Provide on-site troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution for all hospital related issues.Tracks and resolves problems promptly and effectively. Ensures optimal service.Ensures that deadlines are met.Obtains and conveys information as needed. Logs all problems including cause and resolution information.Promotes goodwill and a positive image of the CompanyAssumes responsibility for integration of our patient monitoring devices onto hospital WLAN and VLAN infrastructure.Responsible for setup, validation and compatibility testingManage and configure NKA test environmentsWork with accounts and the NK technical teams to perform verification testingComplete and manage all test result and deployment guidance documentation.Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.Performs miscellaneous projects as assigned.Updates technical skills as required.Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.Duties may be modified or assigned at any time based on business need.QualificationsEducation / Certification / Experience RequiredBachelor's degree in information technology, biomedical engineering or related field; relevant education and experience accepted in lieu of degreeCCNP, CCNA, MCSE preferred4+ years of experience of related software and hardware experience.Extensive understanding of hospital IT functions, infrastructure issues and medical system integration.Experience working with electronic medical record systems preferred.The ideal candidate will have been a Systems or Network Engineer with the appropriate years of experience.Technical skills to include routing, switching, wireless and firewalls.Level and compensation depends on experience, education and skills.Competencies RequiredGood problem solving skills.Solid oral and written communication ability.Ability to assist and train others.Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing, and to receive and understand verbal and written instructions in English.Able to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment.CompensationThe anticipated range for this position is $73,000 to $107,000. Holiday, weekend, and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the organization or department and are subject to change at any time at the Company's discretion.Physical: Generally, may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying up to 20 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, color vision, and 2-way written/verbal communication in English. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.Location: Must reside in assigned territory (Hawaii)Travel: Approximately 90 %Access to Customer Sites: It is an essential function of this position to perform duties in healthcare facilities, and to achieve the necessary vendor credentialing. As part of this process, it is typically required to provide proof of vaccinations (including for COVID-19), and related personal medical information, and to comply with other criteria as needed to be able to work at customer sites. Typical vendor credentialing expenses will be paid/reimbursed by the Company.
