Job Description:

Job Purpose:The Plant General Manager will spearhead the vision and strategic direction of the foundry business unit. Responsibilities include overseeing Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Material Control, Human Resources, Quality Control, and Shipping and Receiving activities. The primary objective is to ensure seamless processing and shipping of customer orders, adherence to quality standards, and achieving profit goals while optimizing available resources. Full P&L responsibility for the business unit is inherent to the role.Read on to find out what you will need to succeed in this position, including skills, qualifications, and experience.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency and restore profitability. Directly manage all facets of the business, with full accountability for P&L.Establish and maintain the overall organizational structure, delegating tasks and setting standards for product quality and production processes.Formulate and enforce manufacturing and quality assurance policies aligned with corporate objectives.Oversee inventory control programs to maintain optimal levels of materials and finished goods.Provide guidance on introducing new products into production and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Monitor plant activities, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.Lead the implementation of lean manufacturing practices and manage divisional budgets.Review and approve specifications for plant equipment procurement.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related Field.Extensive experience in Foundry or production environments, along with industrial management.Proven track record of profitably growing businesses through innovation and commercialization.Strong cross-functional management experience, including P&L responsibility.ISO 9001 Lead and Lean Expert certifications.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Analytical thinking and flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.Preferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in Engineering or Related Field.Experience with SAP Business.Competencies:Strategic thinking, effective communication, innovation, results-oriented, passion for the business, emphasis on teamwork, and strong follow-up skills.
