We serve our clients with experience, technical expertise, and an enjoyable professional environment. Role DescriptionD2 Integrity, LLC is hiring an entry to mid-level engineer to fill a position as a pipeline integrity engineer. This person's initial assignment will be a short-term project to directly support a client project. This project is focused on developing a procedure for estimating probability of failure for Geohazard related threats. Tasks include data mining, performing data analysis, and developing a numerical model. The person will join our team full time and focus on completing post-ILI integrity assessments once the client project is complete. The role is full-time salary employment and based in Houston, TX, with flexibility for some remote work. ResponsibilitiesThe Pipeline Integrity Engineer's function is to perform in-line inspection (ILI) based engineering assessments and produce reports. Analysis will leverage numerical modeling and various internal and external software packages related stress analysis, fracture mechanics, finite element analysis, and ILI data. Primary responsibilities include: Perform numerical analysis using various tools including finite element models. Develop bespoke solutions to perform quantitative and semi-quantitative analysis.Execute fitness for service assessments related to cracking, dents, geohazards, corrosion, and other threats to pipeline integrity.Produce technically accurate and on-time deliverables to internal and external clients. Maintain working knowledge of pipeline regulations and industry standards.Support client related activities as assigned. Attending in-person client meetings as assigned. Maintain understanding of product and service offerings. Work in-office 50% of the time for first 6 months. Travel up to 20% of time for the first 12 months. Qualifications2+ years of on-the-job experience in numerical analysis and pipeline integrity assessments. BS in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.Demonstrated an ability to solve technical problems using numerical methods. Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas, facts, and opinions clearly. Demonstrated ability to maintain organization and manage multiple tasks.
