The community needs your help! CDR Health care Inc. is seeking Medical Assistants within the Jacksonville, FL area. This role will be responsible for drawing blood from patients and answering any questions patients may have to ensure they are comfortable and at ease. The phlebotomist is also responsible for maintaining sanitary work areas to prevent the spread of disease and infection.Candidates should take the time to read all the elements of this job advert carefully Please make your application promptly.Essential Functions:Prepare patients before drawing bloodExplain blood draw procedures to patients and answering any questions about the processVerify patient information and labeling blood samples properly Follow all health and safety protocols and procedures to maintain sanitary work areas Gather medical testing materials, including needles, sample vials, blood storage bags and test tubes. Accurately update patient information in the organizations databaseHelp nervous or frightened patients remain calm during blood draws Work with supervising physicians and always follow their directionsRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMedical Assistant Certification or Phlebotomy Certification in good standing required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially to a diverse range of audiences and settingsThe ability to handle multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlinesAbility to deal with high pressureExcellent grasp of medical terminology, human anatomy, and testing proceduresFlexible schedule. Overtime and weekends availability as needed to provide support for safety emergencies or incidents that occur after hoursBilingual (Highly Preferred not Required)ScheduleStart month range: June/July8am-5pm Open Monday through Friday (subject to change)
