Oh did we mention our annual Vegas-them holiday party!#ChangingLivesOneSmileAtATimePosition SummaryThe purpose of a Dental Office Manager is to guide all staff in any way possible to become more efficient, productive, and competent, thus helping to create a profitable practice that delivers excellent service to patients.This position is responsible for helping guide the office staff & the dental practice team to achievement of productivity and financial and patient satisfaction goals. Through management of front office procedures, schedule management and practices, marketing and promotional programs, team and patient relations, this is a pivotal position that requires organization, positive interactions, excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, and willingness to assist with and/or direct a variety of responsibilities in the dental office.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The dental office manager will manage the following duties and provide general supervision of the patient coordinators, dental assistants, dental hygienists, sterilization techs, treatment coordinators and others as assigned. Office Managers are expected to partner with onsite associate dentists to ensure the following: (Duties include but are not necessarily limited to):PATIENT/EMPLOYEE SERVICES FUNCTIONS:Support community marketing eventsFront end customer serviceAccurate patient registration in the PMS system (practice management system)Ensures that patient coordinators notify clinicians and affected staff of cancellations and/or scheduling changes in a timely mannerBackup on-site insurance verification and financial counselingAccurate time of service (TOS) payment collectionsEnsures that dental support staff are scheduled and assigned accordinglyAssign business office tasks to support personnel during their free time to include contacting patients who have not completed dental work that they have been diagnosed as needingEnsures quality front desk services are provided. Supervising the work of the dental patient coordinators - seeing that scheduling is done properly, databases are maintained and that all patient contacts & demographics are updatedRequirementsEssential Requirements & Qualifications 2 or more years of management experience, preferably in a dental or medical setting Preferred 3-5 years of Front Office Dental experienceAbility to organize and prioritize work load in order to meet established schedules, timelines or deadlinesPossesses the personal maturity and emotional intelligence to be able to manage working under demanding and challenging circumstances Displays a pleasant and respectful manner when dealing with patients and staff Exhibits patience, understanding and consideration for othersAble to work independently toward predetermined outcomes or as a member of a groupComputer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new programsAbility to professionally present and speak in front of small and large groupsAbility to demonstrate independent thinking and exercise good judgmentAbility to formulate, affect , interpret, and/or implement operating practicesAbility to demonstrate a teamwork approach to job responsibilitiesAbility to demonstrate initiative, dependability and promptnessMust perform frequent repetitive work with attention to detailMust have the ability to be flexible and accept different work assignments with a positive approachAbility to follow instructions and takes responsibility for own actionsAbility to exercise confidentiality with Patients and patient careMust listen attentively for clarification to ensure necessary outcomesBenefitsCompetitive salary based on experience100% paid Teladoc100% covered short term disabilityHealth, Medical & Dental Insurance401k
