DescriptionThe following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.Summary:A Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. In addition, the Registered Professional Nurse prescribes, delegates, coordinates, supervises and evaluates patient teaching and the activities of the ancillary nursing personnel while maintaining the standards of professional nursing. The Registered Nurse is able to provide direct and indirect care to patients.Requirements:A. Education/Skills Graduate of a State Board School of Nursing or equivalent. B. Experience Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery/Circulating experience required. C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas American Heart Association BLS - within two (2) weeks of employment Medication Competence - within two (2) weeks of employment Computer Competence- within four (4) weeks of employmentNRP within in six (6) months of employmentBasic Fetal Monitoring with in twelve (12) weeks of employmentStandardized Competencies for Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring Acknowledgement and agreement during unit specific orientation Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within twelve (12) months of employment Advanced Fetal Monitoring after twelve (12) months, then annuallyWork Type:Full Time as PRN Status Shifts:1am - 1 pm1pm - 1amEEO is the law - click below for more information: endeavor to make this site accessible to any and all users.
