They are seeking an Assistant Controller who wants to be an integral part of their talented team. This individual will report directly to the Controller. The compensation for this role is competitive within the market and is determined based on experience. BENEFITS: Employee Health Insurance - 100% employer-paid Employer retirement contribution Profit-sharing Paid time off and paid holidays Relaxed, casual culture RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASSISTANT CONTROLLER: Be responsible for accounts payable, billings, and account reconciliations. Monitor financial transactions and reports. Assist in the preparation of subcontracts of purchase orders. Process checks and understand ledgers. Support payroll processing and auditing. Facilitate the processing of insurance claims. Maintain union dues and process from start to finish. Work collaboratively with a team of 3 and in conjunction with 5 additional finance roles at a sister company. With the support of the Controller, reconcile balance sheets and bank statements monthly. Handle billing reconciliation. Process all new hire packets during the onboarding process. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and monthly WIP. Review purchase orders and invoices for AP Postings. Back up Controller as needed.IDEAL CANDIDATES HAVE: Bachelor's degree 3+ years of relevant experienceSolid working knowledge of accounting principlesStrong organizational, written, and verbal communication skillsProficient in MS Excel and other MS Office productsExperience working within the construction industryFamiliarity with Foundation software for accounting or similar systemsEqual Opportunity Employer
