BHS is currently seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) licensed in Nevada to join our team in the role of Lead Nurse Practitioner.ResponsibilitiesLeadership and TrainingProvide guidance, training, and mentorship to fellow Nurse Practitioners (NPs) within our Nevada practiceConduct orientation and training sessions for newly onboarded NPsSupervise the day-to-day activities of other NPs and offer support when necessaryParticipate in the hiring process, manage personnel decisions, and handle disciplinary actions for NPsParticipate in Gradual Dose Reduction meetings to evaluate the use of psychotropic drugs and ensure proper utilization with nursing home patientsClinical ResponsibilitiesConduct initial psychiatric assessments on new patients to diagnose mental health conditionsPrescribe medications and formulate treatment plans for patients with mental health disordersAdminister ongoing medication management, closely monitoring and adjusting dosages as requiredProvide patient education and counseling to enhance mental health understanding and assist patients and families in coping with mental health challengesCollaborate closely with other mental health professionals and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient careMaintain thorough and up-to-date documentation for all patient interactions to meet regulatory requirementsConduct regular assessments of patient progress and adapt treatment plans as neededPerform cognitive assessments and develop associated care plansConduct capacity evaluationsFacility and Staff ManagementCultivate and manage strong relationships with facilities and their staff to ensure the seamless delivery of servicesOffer coverage during the absence of other NPs to ensure uninterrupted patient careConsult on complex cases to uphold the highest standards of careOther duties as assignedRequirementsHold a Master's degree in nursing with a specialization in psychiatricmental health nursing.Possess certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.Maintain an active, unrestricted license to practice in the state of NevadaDemonstrate strong communication skills, including the ability to convey complex medical information to patients and their familiesExhibit the capability to work independently while fostering effective collaboration with fellow healthcare providersPossess a minimum of 5 years experience as a practicing Psychiatric Nurse PractitionerBe willing to travel to various facilities throughout the regionSkillsProficient in basic computer usageFamiliarity with EMREHR Systems, (experience in AthenaOne considered a plus)Exceptional written communication skillsStrong attention to detailOutstanding interpersonal skillsAbility to remain flexible, organized, and perform effectively in high-stress situationsBenefitsCompetitive EarningsHands-on and Remote Training and SupervisionWork-Life Balance Flexible Work ScheduleA comprehensive benefits packageMedical, Dental, and Vision insuranceLife InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program401k with a 3% company match$1,500 in annual CEU reimbursementsPayStarting at $160,000+Compensation is Flexible, and determined by experience
