They offer a dynamic workplace for employees to grow and develop their skills.This territory is called Providence and covers all of ME, VT, NH, Upstate NY (except Albany), RI, Hartford, CT most of MA (except Boston)ResponsibilitiesThe Endocrine Clinical Specialist will promote Skytrofa and be accountable to develop superior product and disease state knowledge that allows them to engage in appropriate clinical dialogue with healthcare professionalsThey must effectively educate on approved indications and product efficacysafety profiles to support on-label prescribing for appropriate patientsThey will be responsible for calling on Pediatric Endocrinologists as the primary customer and have demonstrated experience with gaining access into institutions and ability to navigate children's hospitals and institutional delivery networksUse product knowledge and selling skills to engage in customized client discussions and interactions based on specific customer needs in a compliant and ethical mannerDrive outstanding performance that ensures sales forecasts are met or exceededExecutes strategies and tactics and invest assigned budget and resources to drive territory expectations while focusing on the needs of customers and patientsMaintains current understanding of local market, practice structures, business models, and key influencers and conduct in person meetings with health care professionalsProactively shares such information with relevant Ascendis stakeholders (e.g., Sales and Commercial Leaders)Demonstrates tenacity in challenging market access scenariosUtilizes technology platforms to engage and educate HCPsEffectively and routinely uses a variety of analytical tools to understand and evaluate the business to best determine how to accomplish sales objectives and apply appropriate resources in an effective and ethical mannerDevelops, communicates & executes a business plan to achieve and surpass all goals and delivers on all sales objectives and behaviorsProactively collaborate with peers and internal stakeholders to maximize impact of appropriate resources to pull-through value within the territory and across AscendisEffectively sell on approved indications and product efficacysafety profiles to support on-label prescribing for appropriate patientsDemonstrate administrative excellence to ensure competent management of work hours, timely and accurate sales call data, customer objectives responses, sample and expense reporting and other administrative itemsPartner with the access team to develop appropriate strategies that drive access to the brandSupporting the Mission and Values of Ascendis; Patients, Science & PassionJob RequirementsBachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience; preferable rare disease, specialty or pediatric endocrinologyProven history of strong performanceAbility to be resilient and flexible working in an ambiguous, rapidly changing environment, start-up experience preferredExperience working with complex distribution system and HUB services to ensure smooth customer experienceThrives in a collaborative culture on an accountability-based teamMust be a self-starter with excellent decision-making, judgment, and ethicsExperience working in a multi-channel environment to ensure customers' needs are addressed in a compliant wayDemonstrated ability to develop a successful business plan based on customer and patient needsAbility to analyze datametrics to assess progress against objectives as well as diagnose performance issues and identify new opportunitiesExperience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information in a highly adaptable, ethical, and effective mannerAbility to meet all credentialing requirements at all times, as updates or repeat screens may be necessary depending on territory, health systemcustomer demand, and company policyValid driver's license and safe driving recordOvernight travel requiredThe base salary range is 185-190K annuallyEEO Statement:All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
