North Americas top privately owned GC firm is seeking a Purchasing Manager to manage an extensive Contractor Buy-outPurchasing Process for a significant (appx $4B) , five year healthcare construction management project. The successful candidate will work closely with Trade Contractors, Vendors, and Jobsite Personnel. Please note that this role will sit primarily on the project site located in Rochester, MN. ResponsibilitiesManaging the pre-bid and post-bid process for all trade contractorsManage bid documents, contracts, purchase orders, consultant agreements and amendmentsExpediting all contract documents sent out for executionOverseeing evaluation and approval of subcontractors for optimum quality and valueDeveloping positive relationships with Trade Contractors, Vendors, Jobsite Personnel and Internal Company Department Personnel as well as other Regional OfficesReview trade contractors scopes of work Collaborating with project teams, preconstruction team, regarding strategy and schedule for bid and award process QualificationsEXPERIENCEEDUCATIONBachelor's degree15 years of purchasing or construction experienceOr equivalent combination of education and experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESStrong computer skills with proficiency is Word, Excel, Outlook, and AccessAbility to read construction drawings and specifications
