Ambassador Personnel is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager for our client in Montgomery, AL. The Assistant Plant Manager supervises the production personnel, quality control, shippingreceiving, purchasing, and sales teams. The Assistant Plant Manager will oversee manufacturing functions, including multiple projects and tasks, therefore, organizational and time management skills will be essential to their success. The ideal candidate must thrive in a face-paced environment, possess strong interpersonal skills, be decisive, and have previous management experience in a manufacturing environment. This is a direct hire opportunity with a great company that offers competitive compensation and benefits package.ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate and consistent records of all production activities per established guidelinesMonitor and report production and operational progress to Plant ManagerOperate forklift, pallet jacks, barrel lifts, and other heavy object lifting equipmentComplete all training mandated by the environmental and safety managerEnsure compliance with OSHA, local, federal safety laws, and environmental laws and regulationsParticipate in facility upkeep, minor equipment repairs, and other maintenance schedule assignmentsCommunicate with customers and be able to assist them with orders, quotes, invoices, or questionsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent is requiredPrevious management experience in a manufacturing environmentValid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicleStrong problem-solving skills, positive attitude and interpersonal skillsLift up to 70 pounds consistently throughout the shiftAmbassador Personnel, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
