Marea New York is the recipient of the 2010 James Beard Award for Best New Restaurant, three stars from The New York Times, was named Best New Restaurant by Bon Appetit, Esquire, and GQ Magazines and was also named NYC's Best Italian Restaurant by Zagat. Be a part of this truly unique restaurant and work alongside hospitality pioneers in an inclusive and professional environment.General Manager responsibilities include:Actively engage in service and lead with a hands-on approach, performing high level of guest service and guest interaction by exhibiting a friendly personality and engaging in guest outreach consistentlyTrain, develop and motivate all staff Organize, supervise and execute shiftsLead and engage other management team on operational tasks and strategic directionDeliver superior service and optimize client dining experience on daily, consistent basisOversee CRM strategy for the restaurant under Altamarea Group standardsMonitor and track key financial targets (revenue, food cost, labor cost, etc.)Communicate collaboratively and effectively across all departments and levels of staffDemonstrate emphasis on driving business while maintaining food and service consistencyRespond promptly and accurately to all client mattersMaintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, staff, vendors and all other constituentsComply with all applicable policies, rules and regulations, including but not limited to safety, health, jurisdictional laws, and labor complianceGeneral Manager Requirements:Extensive restaurant management experience and fluency in all applicable jurisdictional laws and regulationsStrong background in and passion for hospitality and deep knowledge of fine dining service standardsCandidates should be highly organized, efficient, and be able to work preciselyMust be capable, trustworthy, have integrity and excellent communication skillsCandidates should have an energetic, approachable positive disposition and ability to build relationships and motivate othersCandidates should demonstrate creativity and a commitment to the brand successMust have open availability and able to work flexible hoursPhysical requirements include but not limited to the ability to handle and carry trays, smallware, equipment, or other items up to 50lbs, and to stand, walk up and downstairs, and exert well-paced mobility for an extended period of timeAltamarea Group offers competitive compensation and medical, dental, and vision benefits after 30 days of employment for full-time employees.
