Job Description:

Purpose:The Senior Credit Risk Analyst will report to the Credit Risk Analysis Manager and provide expertise for a range of credit risks impacting the Bank. Perform credit analysis through identifying, measuring, monitoring, and evaluating the risk of the Bank's secured and unsecured credit portfolios along with the Mortgage Purchase Program, with a focus on both quantitative and qualitative risk analysis and research. This includes staying well informed of industry trends, macro-economic implications, and relevant events and performance. Assist in Bank Policy review and implementation as well as other functions of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) department as needed.Specific Responsibilities:Reporting to the Credit Risk Analysis Manager, the Senior Credit Risk Analyst provides expertise in assessing credit risks affecting the Bank.Responsibilities include conducting credit analysis, monitoring risk trends, evaluating new capital markets and mortgage counterparties, and ensuring regulatory compliance.The role involves data optimization, preparing reports for management and regulatory bodies, and contributing to policy reviews and implementation within the Enterprise Risk Management department.A strong background in finance, risk analysis, and industry data sources is required, along with excellent analytical and communication skills.The ideal candidate should have a degree in finance, business, or a related field, along with 5 years of experience in credit risk analysis within the banking or financial services industry.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and experience with data analysis tools like PowerBI is preferred, while coding skills in languages like Python are a plus.The candidate must be detail-oriented, able to work full-time, and uphold the Bank's guiding principles.Position Requirements:Financebusinessquantitative undergraduate degree, with a graduate degree, MBA, or CFA strongly preferred.5 years of experience in credit risk analysis within the banking or financial services industry. Experience analyzing financial counterparties and the mortgage industry.Experience with industry data sources, such as S&P Capital IQ, NRSRO ratings services, and other financialindustry data.Experience and aptitude in reporting and presenting to senior management and executives.Excellent analytical and communication skills with strict attention to detail. Ability to interact with personnel and others outside the Bank.Knowledge and ability to use computer tools in analysis of financial data. Experience using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Access is required. PowerBI experience strongly preferred.Experience in coding and statistical languages, such as Python, preferred. Ability to work full time.Must not have been convicted on any civil or criminal charge that would suggest a risk to Bank security.Ability to uphold and model the Bank's Guiding Principles.
