Job description TITLE: No-Fault Litigation Examiner DEPARTMENT: No-Fault REPORTS TO: Claims Manager OBJECTIVE: SettleDefend No-Fault Suits and Arbitrations The Motor Vehicle Accident Indemnification Corporation (MVAIC) was created in 1958 to provide compensation for innocent victims of certain types of accidents caused by uninsured or otherwise financially irresponsible motorists. We are an EOE.MVAIC is currently seeking an experienced No-Fault Litigation Examiner with thorough knowledge of Regulation 68. A minimum of two (2) years' experience with New York No-FaultClaims handling is required. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Analyze suits and conciliationsarbitration notices and determine if settlement or defense is warranted;Prepare Referrals to counsel. Include a cogent, comprehensive analysis;Monitor defense of the litigation to ensure proper defenses are asserted and litigation is handled in a timely, expeditious manner;Appear at Arbitration hearings;Provide testimony as a witness in court proceedings;Provide support to counsel as needed;Monitor decisions to surface trends in litigation;Report findings to Supervisor andor Claims Manager;Maintain a clean and organized work area;Be guided by "Best Practices" and corporate policies and procedures;Be flexible and willing to take on other responsibilities as deemed necessary by management; Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Minimum of two (2) years No-Fault claims handling experienceEffective communication skills-verbal and writtenStrong organizational skillsConversant in Regulation 68Good knowledge of the WC Fee ScheduleMicrosoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and OutlookAbility to communicate with all levels of management, employees, and the publicStrong organizational skillsPossess a professional demeanorAbility to multitask Salary Range: $57,700 - $100,975 (starting salary commensurate with experience) This job description is subject to modification (verbal or written) by Management, at any time and in its sole discretion. 2024 Please submit resume and desired salary to IndustryInsuranceEmployment TypeFull-time
