We're looking for someone who will maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and conditioning equipment and systems. The right candidate will also maintain the safe operation of complex systems and equipment, which may include hydronic cooling and heating systems, DX split and packaged AC units, pumps, heat exchangers, air compressors, steam systems, steam traps, PRV stations and humidifiers. You will need to understand BAS controls, chiller operations, pump operations, hydronic and air handling systems. Our Service Technician needs to work safely, be innovative, take pride in a job well done, and do your work with integrity.What You'll Do:Repair of Centrifugal chillers,DX packaged units, split systems, and air-cooled chillers,Centrifugal water pumps (seals, bearings, impellers, and shafts),Cooling towers,Small MRI chillers,Humidifiers,Low temperature & ice machines; andComputer room cooling systems.Replacement of AHU fan bearings, fans, shafts, coils, and motor bearings.Dial indicator and laser alignment of belt driven and direct coupled equipment.Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment, and routine repair & calibration after installation.Uses experience and technical skills with preventive maintenance and system operations to determine service requirements.Work with a team to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.Work in a safe manner daily and ensure that all safety measures are always taken.Other duties as assigned.What you'll need (minimum qualifications): Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skillsStrong HVAC and refrigeration skillsStrong mechanical aptitudeStrong overall system troubleshooting abilitiesAbility to source materials and estimate repair quotes if requiredPrior work experience and educational requirementsWill require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or a technical program.3+ years of commercialindustrial HVAC experienceEPA certificationClean driving record, background check and drug freeFlexibility to work overtime, on-call and weekends, as requiredMeet all physical requirements of working in the HVAC field, including operating applicable tools, comfortable working at heights as well as indoor & outdoorGood to have:Understanding of steam system components (traps, Spence regulators, humidifiers, and heat exchangers) Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints Understands basics of building automation systemsUnderstands basics of building automation systemsWe offer our employees a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package and are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
