Position: Planned Activity Specialist (Laboratory Field Service Technician)Client: Large Biotech CompanyOpenings: 12Location: ~100% Travel - Home base in greater Nashville, Miami, Orlando, Greenville, Charlotte, or GreensboroDuration: 8 months with high possibility of extensionJob Description:This Planned Activity Specialist will travel across their designated citystate to various sites where they will attend and provide proactive maintenance to Cobas 6000's, 8000s, Pros and other analyzers.Assay addition & application installation on Cobas 6000, which consists of:Schedule appointment with customer and set customer expectationsConfigure new assay, calibrator, controls & load reagent, calibrate, evaluate QCRun precision, linearity, and correlationsAssist with interfacing of new assayEvaluate validation data and present it to customer (this can be performed by data analyst and reviewed by local FAS or the rep at the second appointment if necessary)Determines cost effective repairresolutions to minimize customer downtimeProvides feedback and documents product failure trends and service ability issuesResponsible for ensuring and maximizing customer satisfaction with equipment and related productsIdentifies revenue generating and cost saving opportunities.Maintains expenses within departmental guidelines and controls inventory and all company propertyQualifications:High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or work experience OR Bachelor's degree in a Biomedical field2-5 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing mechanicalsystem hardware and softwareEffective communication skills, helpful customer interaction, and organizationally soundExperience with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting machineryhardware using established procedures preferably in a laboratory or healthcare settingMed Tech background huge plus but not required
