Job Title: Director of ManufacturingJob Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Manufacturing for our aerospace component manufacturing facility specializing in ground support equipment tooling. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership and operational excellence to ensure the efficient and effective production of high-quality aerospace components. As the Director of Manufacturing, you will oversee a team of six managers and approximately 170 employees on the shop floor, playing a crucial role in driving productivity, quality, and continuous improvement.Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:Develop and execute manufacturing strategies in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.Provide leadership in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize manufacturing processes.Team Management:Lead and mentor a team of six managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Provide guidance on team development, performance management, and talent acquisition.Operational Excellence:Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring production schedules, quality standards, and cost targets are met.Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.Quality Assurance:Collaborate with the quality assurance team to establish and maintain stringent quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer specifications.Resource Management:Manage and optimize resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet production demands.Work closely with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure a seamless flow of materials and components.Budget Oversight:Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency in operations.Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety.Safety and Compliance:Enforce safety protocols and compliance with industry regulations, promoting a culture of safety awareness among all employees.Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address and resolve any safety or compliance issues.Stakeholder Communication:Communicate regularly with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, to provide updates on manufacturing performance, challenges, and opportunities.Foster strong relationships with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.Proven experience (minimum of 10 years) in aerospace manufacturing, with a focus on ground support equipment tooling.Demonstrated leadership experience managing a large team in a manufacturing -depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.If you are a results-oriented leader with a passion for aerospace manufacturing and a track record of success, we invite you to apply for this challenging and rewarding position.
