Municipal Food Safety Inspector Position MoJin Solutions, LLC MoJin Solutions, LLC is expanding rapidly and looking to develop new inspectors! We offer various food safety consulting services, primarily to municipal health departments located in Massachusetts. We are looking for a qualified and ambitious professional to conduct regulatory food safety inspections with the desire to grow into a managerial position. Types of food establishments may include restaurants, grocery stores, convenient stores, schools, food trucks, temporary food events, and corporate this role, you will be part of a growing team that works to protect the public health through food safety practices. You will conduct inspections in various types of food establishments and interact with the food establishment owners, managers, and staff to observe and document various aspects of food safety in accordance with FDA and MA state inspection standards. The key to our success is rooted in our never-ending pursuit of standardized process improvements throughout our business.If you are passionate about food safety and are committed to ensuring the health and safety of the public, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a Municipal Food Safety Health Inspector. Key Responsibilities:Conducting risk-based food safety inspections, documenting observations, and producing legal inspection reports in accordance with various food codes, standards, and policies.Assess the degree of active managerial control a food establishment operator has over various foodborne illness risk factors.Conduct regular inspections of food service establishments to ensure compliance with health and safety vestigate complaints and violations of health and safety regulations related to food service establishments.Review food handling procedures, food storage, and preparation practices to ensure compliance with food safety standards.Provide guidance and training to food service establishments to improve food safety practices.Monitor and maintain records of inspections and violations, and follow-up to ensure compliance.Prepare reports and documentation related to inspections and investigations.Work collaboratively with other health and safety officials to address public health concerns related to food safety.Participate in continuing education and training to keep up to date with changes in health and safety regulations and best practices. Managing assigned inspection lists and traveling to required locations.Collaborate with team and management in ongoing pursuit of process improvements. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.Certified Professional Food Safety (CP-FS) or Registered Sanitarian (RS) preferred, but not required.Minimum of two years of experience with food handling, food safety or related field.Exposure to state and local health and safety regulation related to food safety.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Must be able to perform independently and in a team settingStrong written, verbal, and computer communication skills, including the use of multiple internet-based software applications, Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookAbility to speak effectively in front of groups of customers or employees of organizationAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsMust be able to appropriately navigate high pressure situations with respect, equality, intelligence, and in a professional mannerExceptional time management and organization skillsExceptional situational awarenessStrong sense of integrityPersonable & strong customer service skillsCoachable and positive attitudeDesire to learn and grow in the food safety industryWork schedule and hours may vary for this position yet are flexible. Some shifts may require starting early in morning, some shifts may require starting later in afternoon.Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation, and proof of auto-insurance.Subject to a background check & substance testBi-lingual a plus, but not required (Portuguese, Spanish, or Mandarin)Ability to pass various industry certifications.
