Our team designs, develops and maintains massively scaling technology solutions brought to life with innovative architectures, data analytics, and digital solutions.*Please note this role is hybrid however will require to come in office 2-3 days per week in Chicago.Key Responsibilities:United is seeking a Sr. Manager - DevOps that is experienced and highly skilled to help expand and reinforce cloud deployment processes for collections of applications migrating to Cloud using robust DevOps Techniques. Requires experience in full stack applications with cloud native and hybrid application tech stack. Unapproaches the DevOps mentality to shape and lead infrastructure and full lifecycle, automated, product delivery solutions. Applies knowledge and extensive experience in software development, systems administration, development operations, performance monitoring reporting, and Agile to build high-performance, scalable solutions for Airline Operations teams. Will be leading DevOps initiatives and developing systems and software to create automated build environments, and full Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment solutions. Proficient in configuration management and infrastructure as code are key to the success of this role. Will work well in Agile environments and have vast hands-on experience with DevOps and full lifecycle ALM tools, including administration, configuration, development and deployment.Represent Adaptavist as a Subject Matter Expert and guide Airline Operations teams to success. Must apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues, opportunities or problems in order to improve the benefit of IT and Business investments."Own the technical Vision, Design & Architecture of our DevOps Platform & MethodologyLead and manage highly motivated DevOps engineers under multiple Airline Operations teams and help multiple teams to adapt to continuous build, inspection, testing and deployment UsingDevOps and DevSecOps strategiesLead our 8-12 Core Support ContractorsProvide operational support for the critically important Tier 1 Airline Operation applications as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing follow-up on all issues and solutionsParticipate in all aspects of DevOps Engineering and promote industry standard methodologies in DevOps EngineeringHelp to configure DevOps stack with regards to performance monitoring, analytics, and audit-ability with hands on coding and oversight ensuring things are run rightEvaluate gaps in related to DevOps standard processesDevelop and maintain installation, configuration and operations procedures as per the new emerging industry standard standardsBe the leader in the industry and have a pulse of innovation and sharing with other teamsWork with the Development, projectproduct management organizations to align projects, releases, patches, and other efforts Implement automation tools and frameworks (CICD pipelines)United values diverse experiences, perspectives, and we encourage everyone who meets the minimum qualifications to apply.
