Job Description:

Adecco is recruiting a contract Packaging Developer for a leading global beauty company dedicated to creating innovative and high-quality color cosmetic products that inspire self-expression and confidence. We are seeking a talented R&D Packaging Developer to join our team in Morris Plains. This role will play a crucial part in designing and delivering new color cosmetics product initiatives, ensuring they meet our customers' expectations for quality, functionality, and sustainability.This role is hybrid in Morris Plains, NJ. The rate for this role is $35hr.Job Responsibilities:Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D Formulation, Marketing, Procurement, Production, and Technical Product Services to develop new color cosmetics product initiatives within time and cost targets.Provide input on project feasibility from cost and technical perspectives during briefing meetings with Marketing, leveraging existing packaging portfolio where applicable.Work with Procurement to develop Directional and Conception Costs, ensuring alignment with gross margin targets.Write component and finished good specifications, ensuring packaging materials meet consumer expectations without compromising service, quality, cost, and cash targets.Align success criteria with other teams for fillingmanufacturing preparation, including leading Packaging Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).Track development milestones against Critical Path Schedules, communicating updates to cross-functional partners.Design and execute packaging learning plans, coordinating and performing testing for technical validation of new initiatives.Support production line trials and commissioning for packaging validation and production startups.Review and approve artwork files for Packaging-specific criteria, ensuring final files are saved within company systems.Attend first productions to ensure components and finished goods meet quality expectations, approving standards and range boards.Qualifications:2+ years of technical experience in cosmeticspharmaceuticalpersonal care consumer packaged goods industry, with a focus on packaging development and engineering.Knowledge of cosmetics packaging materials and manufacturing processes, including extrusion and injection blow molding, injection molding, metal pressing, and print technologies.Strong project management skills, including time management, prioritization, coordination, and communication.Expertise in evaluating technical drawings and handling interpretations of packaging blueprints.Ability to work independently in diverse global teams and environments.Passion for problem-solving and creativity, with excellent analytical skills.BS in Packaging or Mechanical Engineering preferred.Knowledge of cosmetics packaging regulations.Join us in this exciting temporary opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative color cosmetics packaging products and make a meaningful impact in the beauty industry.
