Job Description:

Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment organization that places with aspiring and experienced educators in K-12 Independent Schools nationwide, and in the Philadelphia area.We are currently seeking School Counselors for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.Responsibilities:Counselor students in a K-12 environmentMeet 1:1 and in small groups with studentsMonitor students during breaks (lunch, recess, break time)Lead, provide, and supervise extracurricular activities after schoolCollaborate with teachers and assistant teachersObserve State childcare regulations and school policies and proceduresQualifications:Master's degree in school counseling requiredExperience in a K-12 school settingWarm, caring demeanorStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage time and carry out multiple tasks assignedUnderstands and respects K-12 aged students and their needsStrong management skillsAbility to problem solve and demonstrate initiativeFirst Aid and CPR certifications (the school may allow these to be acquired after hiring)Compensation: Salaries are competitive and based on experience and training.
