**This contract QA Analyst opportunity is a long-term contract position (no defined end date); with a possibility of conversion. Sorry recruiting firms, no C2C.**ResponsibilitiesResponsible for handling complex quality assurance and test environment problems and issues.Acts as a lead in the creation, preparation, and conduct of quality assurance reviews and the development and execution of test plans and test scripts.Works with client to establish and maintain a consistent test methodology and to resolve questions during the testing process.May serve as a coordinator for all testing activities on a project.Analyzes, tests, and certifies application-specific software and performs ambiguity reviews of business requirements and functional specification documents.Uses advanced knowledge of applications to provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving highly complex test problems.Researches new products and industry methodologies and facilitates the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.Plans and directs quality assurance schedules and assignments, and monitors project status in comparison to costtime projections.Logs, tracks, and verifies resolution of software and specification defects.Documents all phases of QA process.Directs and serves as a mentor to less experienced staff.RequirementsMinimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a QA Analyst Systems Analyst, with heavy emphasis on technology and implementation understanding.Excellent verbal and written skills are critical since this job primarily entails communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.Experience working with software or web technology teams.Experience with software development methodologies and practices (SDLC, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.)Excellent understanding of testing life cycle and hands on experience with different type of testing e.g. Regression Testing, Smoke Test, Ad-Hoc Testing, Sanity Testing, Integration and Acceptance Testing.Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships with a variety of partners and stakeholders.Basic computer programming skills.Preferred QualificationsRelic and Selenium Web-driver experience.Experience with Automation is a plus.**Please note that we are seeking a relatively junior QA, and our pay rate would commiserate with experience, likely between $28-$32hr.**Contact:
